About Us

Our classic, turn-of-the-century brick home, nestled in the heart of the picturesque Bitterroot Mountains of western Montana is a quiet stroll from historic downtown Missoula; a peaceful walk across the footbridge will find you on the University of Montana campus at the foot of Mount Sentinel. You can enjoy your breakfast with a splendid view of the Sapphire and Bitterroot mountains, the Clark Fork glistening in the early morning sun. Take in the grandeur of Big Sky Country from our dining room or in the mountain air on our outdoor deck.

Built in 1911, our seven-room Victorian Inn was the residence of Clyde Duniway, the second president of the University of Montana. Four of the guest rooms feature scenic balcony views and classic sitting rooms. Each room has a hand-tiled private bathroom for your privacy, comfort, and personal convenience. Fireplaces, reading nooks, and Victorian beds add an individual charm to each of the rooms. All of our rooms at Goldsmith's Bed and Breakfast also have private telephones and separate air conditioning and heating controls. High speed internet is available throughout the Inn.
